 WEATHER

WEATHER

No-one can control the weather.

Just like the weather, both positive, enabling and negative, undesirable events will happen.

Sometimes the wind is favourable and fills your sails in conditions that enable you to maximise your strengths. Other times gale winds and rain make it difficult to keep travelling in your preferred direction.

In real life there are also many uncontrollable situations you may encounter, like the loss of a loved one, getting stuck in traffic, winning a lottery, falling in love, retrenchment and so on. Even though they are beyond control, and especially in difficult situations, they can have serious impact on your well-being.

It depends on how you deal with them!
Your ability deal with them, effectively, is how you build resilience, develop new strengths and stay on track despite any challenges that come with the circumstances.

Weather - good and bad - gives you the chance to fully utilise your strengths and become aware of what you can, and cannot control.

Check out the worksheet in the link below to get started in effective coping for strength building.
