 SAILS

SAILS

The Sails of your sailboat are your power; your strengths and resources, known and unknown.
They're things that facilitate valued living, goal achievement and increase your overall well-being.

Strengths are the positive traits that are reflected in your thoughts, feeling, behaviours and actions and which are authentically about you and energise you when they are prominent.

It has been shown that using your strengths brings optimal functioning, development and performance.

Each time you effectively cope with any challenge, whether by being optimistic about it or accepting its existence, you are building new strengths and improving existing ones. Even activities that give you energy and enthusiasm (such as gardening, painting, crafting) help to strengthen your abilities, thinking, living and resilience.

Identifying your strengths helps to keep your sails full of favourable wind on your journey in life.

Some people find it hard to undertake a strengths-finding exercise. But it is not skiting. It is a critical part of your journey, and your over-all wellbeing. If you don't know your strengths, you will be at the mercy of the elements.

Do a stock-take of your strengths to help you find and maintain momentum in a powerful and satisfying way.
