ANCHOR

ANCHOR

The final element to your Sailboat journey is the Anchor.

What holds you steady in the water when you need to shelter or replenish stores and when you finally reach your desired destination? The anchor does.

Anchors operate at the deepest levels, representing your most fundamental beliefs and conscience.

Similar to values which are internal, these are the outward-facing RULES for living your life authentically.
They may include religious tenets and social principles as well as family edicts. They are the STANDARDS on which your life journey is measured by yourself and by other.

When anchor rules are violated, feelings of guilt, remorse, regret, repentance and shame may arise.
When others say or do things that don't uphold your rules, you may think, feel or behave differently towards them - judgemental, violated, challenged.

To be the Captain of you own ship:-
1. Know your rules - your anchors
2. recognise when your anchor is holding you
3. Honour your anchor - knowing that you can pull it up when you honestly, legitimately and deeply believe it will best suit you and who you are, to do so
4.Accept your responsibility to have, respect and live by, your anchoring edicts and tenets of your conscience.
